Bespoked Bristol 2012 kicks off this Friday evening and runs through Saturday and Sunday. On display will be the very best hand built bikes from builders in the UK, Europe and even America.

Below I have picked a selection of brands that I love and that I think you should see at the show, it’s worth the trip just for these guys but I can guarantee an awesome amount of greatness from all the other companies with stalls too.

One of my very favourite online cycle shops, Urban Hunter, has got a new website. They have always had a huge amount of awesome product but it was time consuming to navigate your way through it. Now we can all check out gear from the likes of Cadence, Swrve, Outlier and Laek House as well as a ginourmous (yes, it’s a word!) range of cycling t-shirts with one hand in our pocket. Richard at Urban Hunter very kindly sent me one of these little hand painted cycling figurines (the drinker at the back) for my birthday, it has taken pride of place on the base of my TV so that I can look at him every day with a lovely neon blue glow behind his head.

They had buying up vintage ones in flea markets on their trips to the continent but now have a deal with the same French company that has been making them since the 1930’s.

They are available singly or in packs of four from Urban Hunter.

The guys at (iL) Soigneur managed to get hold of the vinyl banners used at the final round of the 2010-11 Track World Cup Classics held at Manchester Velodrome in Feb 2011, they took those banners and whipped them up into some totally unique musettes featuring a championship stripe webbing strap. They are available now from Urban Hunter.
