It’s EXTREMELY rare that I post American content and even rarer after it’s already done the rounds on other blogs but this video is great! If anyone ever asks you what’s so good about riding bikes you just show them this little puppy and if they still don’t get it then disown them.

I really respect Cadence as a brand, I love how it has developed and evolved since it’s Fast Friday beginnings into something much greater, it’s one of the real success stories of the fixed gear boom and a very fine example of how to keep it real whilst evolving.

Dustin Klein, the mastermind behind Cadence is in London this weekend for the launch of an exhibition of his work and you can even ride with one of the most influential people in modern day fixed gear and urban riding. All the deets are in the flyers, innit.

I spotted this photo on Pedal Consumption today, what are those shoes up in the top left? DVS Luster x Cinelli in white???

The European stock of the black and grey ones has been super tight and that is the first time I’ve seen them in white, maybe they are an addition to the range to keep up with the demand? They aren’t in the Winter 11 or spring 12 DVS catalogues. Interesting.

The new Inmate Cadence will be available soon, maybe even next month…

One of my very favourite online cycle shops, Urban Hunter, has got a new website. They have always had a huge amount of awesome product but it was time consuming to navigate your way through it. Now we can all check out gear from the likes of Cadence, Swrve, Outlier and Laek House as well as a ginourmous (yes, it’s a word!) range of cycling t-shirts with one hand in our pocket. Good job, Richard!

The DVS Cycling Fall 11 shoes are slowly but surely arriving at Nucleus. We have decent size runs of the Rico CT x Cadence in Grey and Port and the Luster Cinelli in Grey. Stock is seriously limited and as far as I can tell we are the only place in Europe selling these online so if you want them I’d suggest you don’t put it off. We are expecting both the Rico and Cinelli in Black in the next week or so, I’ll keep you updated…

I present to you the Cadence DVS 3636 which is the spring 2012 collab between DVS Cycling and Cadence, obviously. The collaborative shoes from these guys have been getting more and more slimline since the first shoe, they couldn’t really get any slimmer.

They are made out of thin perforated garment leather with a thin, yet relatively stiff outsole. Detailing has been kept to an absolute minimum with just a DVS tag on the side and a Cadence logo on the back. No reflectors, no bells and whistles, just comfort.

These really aren’t the sort of thing I’d wear but they will be super popular because this kind of shoe is so hot right now and I’m sure they still will be in Spring 2012 too.

I got a lovely present in the post today, cheers DVS, I luv u! These Rico CT Cadence will change colour over time because of the way the canvas has been coloured, I’m looking forward to seeing what happens to mine because my shoes generally last for years in pretty good condition.

Here’s a sneaky look at the Holiday 2011 DVS Inmate Cadence collab shoes. Again they are based on an existing model with a Cadence twist, I assume they’ll feature the super stiff sole but I’m not 100% sure. They should be available around October. You can still get the Keirin Pack and the Keo from my shop, and don’t forget to pre order the Cinelli shoes because they are selling like hot cakes!

I wasn’t going to post about this Cadence promotion because it was a bit ‘US’ but I just realised that $100 is actually only about 60 quid. There are a lot of GOT TO HAVE products in the current collection so maybe this is a good time to get them, be quick though! Although not widely available in the UK at present Cadence will be far more prevalent on our shores this year because they have a UK distro now, keep your eyes peeled…
