There are so many of these things that you’d think they’d all suck but I can’t get enough of them. This one is especially great because even at over 7 minutes long it’s hysterical right to the end.

For me it’s all about 1:13, 4:20 and 6:45 and I have to disagree with this this douchey YouTube commenter, I love a bit of gratuitous swearing:

“I would suggest you leave out the foul language; it added nothing to the video. Better yet, edit this video and cut the trash talk. This would allow a mature person to like and share.”

Condor Cycles in London are well known for their excellent hand made frames and equally as much so for their hand built wheels.

I have a set of their Uno track wheels, they’re as light as a feather and you can really tell they were built by hand rather than by machine. Keep your eyes peeled for a review soon.

Martin Muller is Condor’s wheelbuilder, he has this to say about his work and a video of him in action…

“There is definitely an art to building a good wheel. Different people use different techniques to build in different ways; spoke prepping, nipple prepping, stressing the wheel, bedding in the spokes. I feel uncomfortable building wheels at home because I’m so used to my workshop set up. I have a ritual of placing my linseed oil, Phil Wood Tenacious oil, little bowl of nipples and spokes all around me. It’s comparable to a chef or anyone who’s involved in a process that needs the ingredients one at a time.”

This video by Lens Veteran is pretty cool, not a huge amount of riding but I think it pretty much sums up this winter in the UK: a bit wet, a bit damp but nothing too shitty. A good document of the time.

I have absolutely no idea what this is about but it all looks very exciting and maybe charitable. The video description says…

“8 Polo players from London delivered 20 polo bikes to an equestrian resort in Kaduna Nigeria. We built the bikes and played an exhibition tournament at the ‘Patrons Cup’ at the Kangimi resort.”

This must be one of the best videos on YouTube, it’s a Tour De France inspired animation using cycling figurines (available from Urban Hunter) and amazing miniature sets.

It’s got a bit of an Adam & Joe thing going on, it’s perfect but scrappy at the same time, the real genius is in the details. The shots of the helicopter with commentary on the local chateau and other landmarks is spot on and the rabid fans during the mountain stages is hysterical. The Armstrong in a field bit is a nice touch too.

Ninja Cats’ latest video is a collection of clips they didn’t use last year. The fact that these unused tricks are more creative, fun and stylish than most other videos from last year is testament to the sheer quality of the London fixed freestyle scene.

Everyone has some good stuff in here but the two standout parts for me are Gus and Hectors, Oscar’s tyre slide down a handrail is ridiculous too. Be sure to check out Greg Falski’s outtakes from the last 12 months as well.

I love this video! Balance bikes are so cool and these kids are having the time of their lives. I think the ultimate christmas present for a kid is a bike, it takes their sense of freedom and adventure to the next level and is way better for them in the long term than a lot of the other crap they will get.
