About The Foot Down
The Foot Down came to life in December 2009 with the aim of covering the UK fixed gear scene through news stories, coverage of events and the supporting of homegrown brands.

To this day the site remains focussed on the UK, I don’t post the same stuff that everyone else is from all around the world, if Prolly has posted it then I know you’ve already seen it and I won’t waste your time.

I put out regular t-shirts and where possible I print them myself with the help of some friends, DIY baby.

I’m always on the look out for new content so if you have anything interesting to share or are a UK brand or shop and want to be featured on the site then please get in touch.

About me
My name is Ty, I run the site all on my lonesome.

I’m far more into riding bikes than looking at them, I certainly don’t get excited over the latest handlebars on the market, no matter how shiny they are. OK, sometimes I do…

I live in Swansea, South Wales and like to ride up great big hills until I feel like my heart is going to explode. I prefer going up rather than down.

My current bike set up can be seen here, and some past ones here and here. I also ride a road bike, shock horror.
