Bradley Wiggins at the Gower Agricultural Show

Just in case you hadn’t noticed, the majority of the UK currently has Bradley Wiggins fever. Within the space of a month he wen’t from being a well known cyclist to a national hero and graced the front cover of every major newspaper across the land. I’m sure this won’t really change him but it has certainly changed how people see him.
One group of people who seem to be particularly smitten with him are the Women’s Institute as you can see from this wonderful scarecrow that was guarding the entrance to their tent at this years Gower Agricultural Show.

It really did look like Wiggo, right down to the very same glasses he was wearing on the Champs Elysees…

…and his lovely little baby corn sideburns, nice.

Inside was a rather lovely flower display, what. It displayed a great use of cycling paraphernalia which really added to the rhythm and attention to detail of the chosen flowers.

Pat Llewelyn was impressed, commenting that it displayed an “Excellent choice of colours and design“. I think we can all agree that she is not wrong.
