Sion Doolittle, Sion Nearly Dies, Huw’s GoPro Video!

On Saturday I went out for a ‘light one’ with Sion but ended up doing 54 miles, climbing 5000ft and nearly killing him in the process.

The silly sausage had only gone on holiday for a week, eaten a million pies and found out pretty quickly that he wasn’t on top form. At least he got to have his photo taken with the huge bull above…

I know he wouldn’t want me to post those cute photos without at least embarrassing him with this one where he was grunting like a pig trying to haul himself up this climb, haha.

The plan was to go out for an easy spin because he hadn’t ridden for a week, and I wanted to do a big one on Sunday but it went so tits up. We had to rush back because it was getting dark and we didn’t have lights because we hadn’t planned to be out so late. Sion got a puncture about two miles from home too which was a right bugger! On Sunday I had to go for a nice easy ride, my legs are so useless at the mo. I met up with Huw and we went for a spin around The Gower, taking in Arthurs Stone on Cefn Bryn. Huw brought along his GoPro and caught part of the ride (including my pro pedal miss at the lights) for posterity. Again, the route is on Strava and Ride With GPS.
