Saltburn Yarn Bomb Cyclists
Yarn bombers have hit Saltburn (your guess is as good as mine) pier with a London 2012 Olympic themed scarf.
Yarn bombing, also known as guerrilla knitting, is a form of street art practiced by girls in their early 20s who like to wear knee length corduroy skirts and teal coloured tights. This may be a wild stereotype based on no information whatsoever but I’ll bet my last penny that it’s true.
Even though the kind of people making these things would almost certainly make me LOL to myself I will admit that they are super cool. These two cycling based ones are excellent, the funny little fella at the top is brilliant!
Big thanks to Dean Reeve for the photos and for a bit more info on the whole thing check out the Saltburn by the Sea blog.
