The Winter Ninja vs The Brass Monkey
So, I rode to the hospital today for a pre-assesment before having the plate removed from my collarbone in the new year. As always I astounded the health professional with my incredible blood pressure/oxygen combo and general healthy radness. It goes to show that not drinking or smoking combined with a vegan diet of chips and pop is the key to good health.
I called by my mothers house on the way home to install some anti-virus on the laptop she has bought to try internet dating, I set her up with an account then we looked at 50-something men and scrutinised their looks and lifestyle before she sent me up the attic to get her Christmas decorations down.
On the way home I was absolutely bloody freezing as was the brass monkey I always carry around in my jacket who was looking particularly depressed when I got into town due his recently misplaced balls.
It seems that every time I pop into the bike shop I buy more ‘lycra’ to combat the changing weather. First it was arm warmers, a few weeks later it was knee warmers, then a funny skullcap, a buff and today a hooded base layer. This thing is hysterical, it’s 50% ninja and 50% frogman, hopefully it’ll be 100% warm when I ride it up some mountains on the weekend; if not I can always use it to go ‘Christmas shopping’ around some of the local council houses after Family Guy…
