More New Velosolo Track Chainrings

Hot on the back of the Sugino Messenger style chainrings I posted this morning come these cut out ones in gold and black, again they are super sexy but these come in more variations: “…130mm BCD in 1/8″ or 3/32″ width and 135mm and 144mm BCD in 1/8″ only. The 1/8″ width has nearly 50% more contact area for driving the chain than the 3/32″. All BCD’s available in sizes 44t, 46t and 48t. Choice of anodized black or gold for 130mm BCD and black in 135mm BCD and 144mm BCD.”

These are 29.95 too with a polished version coming soon for 34.95. More info here. I want a black one so bad, maybe in the summer when I get a new frame, my new set up is gonna look so scary it’ll make little girls scream in terror as I go past. Mwahahahahaha.

Could you tell me if it’s kosher to use an 1/8th.chain witha 3/32nd. inch chainwheel/fix sprocket while I save for my new chainset?
    Cheers,
    Buchanan.

      Hi Robert,
It’ll work but it’s best to keep it all the same really to prevent noise and the possibility of the chain coming off. You can get a plenty good enough 3/32 chain for about 7 quid :-)
